Naveen Launches Mo Sarkar


‘Mo Sarkar’ an innovative program was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Gandhi Jayanti.

Chief Minister rang up eight persons over phone who had earlier come to different Police Stations and Hospitals and sought their feedback after collecting their numbers from Mo Sarkar portal randomly.
 
While giving their opinion and feedback on police stations and hospitals, these people also complimented the Chief Minister for this innovative programme. 
 
Later the CM went to Capital Hospital and Saheed Nagar police station and released logo and preamble of the programme.
 
The programme started at all the 564 Police Stations, 21 District Headquarters Hospitals and Cuttack, Berhampur and Sambalpur MCH.

This programme will be effective at the DHHs of the State by October 30 and by March 30 all the departments of he State Government will implement it.

Notably, the Chief Minister had announced the programme on August 15.

The Objective of this programme is to provide service with dignity to people who are coming to government offices for different purposes, said officials.

The reason being in democracy the people are the real masters and government officials are here to serve them.

Under the programme, the phone numbers of people who are coming to different government offices will be collected randomly, they said adding, It is not a grievance redressal mechanism.

The purpose is to improve the governance system by collecting feedback on behaviour and professionalism of government officials, they added.

Improvement in the system can only bring in desired changes in the lives of people.

Under the programme, the phone numbers of all the people who are coming to different government offices will be registered and an SMS will be sent to their numbers within 24 hours.
If the SMS is not received or the number is not registered, then the concerned person can make a missed call to 14545 and get his/her number registered.

These telephone numbers will be randomly collected.

Chief Minister, Ministers, DGP (in case of police stations) and Health Minister, Secretary and Director (in case of hospital will call random numbers to get feedback.

The employees will be ranked as good or bad on the basis of the feedback.  The employees with good rank will get out-of-turn promotion and action will be taken against the employees with bad rank.

The identity of the person giving negative feedback will be kept secret, said officials.
 
In fact ‘Mo Sarkar’ is turning into an institution, thanks to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, whose Office is hyperactive to make it a success.
