2000 Posts For Doctors


In order to meet the requirement of the Physicians in Health Care Institutions in the State, Odisha Government has created 2000 posts of Leave Training Medical Reserve Officer (LTMRO).


Minister Health & Family Welfare, Naba Kishore Das has announced that there is requirement of doctors in these Health Care Centers, which are spread over various districts in the State.

For the first time 2000 LTRMO Posts have been created and accordingly Pramod Kumar Meherda, Secretary Health & Family Welfare brought out the Notification in this regard.

Dr.Meherda has said that there are 6719 posts for Doctors and 3431 Posts are filled up and 3288 posts are lying vacant.

In order to provide adequate Health Services to the people these posts are created and have been distributed among the Health Care Centers.

Earlier a high level meeting on various issues of SCBMCH was held chaired by  Mr.Das Minister Health & Family Welfare.

It was decided to make the Spinal Injury Center fully functional.

For present it is to be attached with Orthopedic Dept and subsequently other related depts will be merged with that.

It is proposed to rename the center as Odisha Trauma and Spinal Injury Center .
 
MoU to be signed within 7 days for Liver transplant Unit .

Within one month all necessary arrangements to be completed for laying of foundation stone for Super Specialist Building, said sources.
