Centre Sets Kisan Deadline

Union Government has given 15 July as deadline to upload data of the eligible beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN).

With delay in uploading data on farmers by the State Governments, the Union Government has asked the State Administration to upload it by 15 July.

Union Government has warned the States saying if the State Government will not upload data in time the farmer will lose installment of PM-KISAN.

Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has asked all the State Governments to expedite 100 Percent enlistment of eligible beneficiaries as per Revised PM-KISAN Scheme and timely uploading of their corrected data on PM-KISAN Portal will make them able to avail the benefit of the Scheme.

PM-KISAN is the flagship program of Government of India and several State Governments are not taking it seriously to upload data on the farmers.

CEO PM-KISAN Vivek Aggarwal has written to the State Government saying that the entitlement of a farmer to the benefit under scheme would start from the Four Monthly (Trimester) period after the data is uploaded in PM-KISAN Portal.

Therefore, if there is delay in uploading of data of the beneficiaries on the part of the State Government from one trimester to another, they may lose instalment relating to that trimester.

The present Four Monthly period is going to end on the 31 July, 2019 and for timely release of the benefits to the farmers for this period the completely correct validated data is required to be uploaded on the portal by 15 July, 2019.

Now the State Nodal officers are to expedite uploading of data of eligible beneficiaries in a time bound manner, said Mr.Aggarwal.

For the fault of the State Government, farmers will be penalized, said a senior officer, adding under this backdrop, there should not be any laxity in uploading correct data in PM-KISAN portal.
