CM Calls On Prez


Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik called on President of India, Ram Nath Kovind here at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 11 June.


Chief Minister, Mr.Patnaik briefed the President about the devastation caused by cyclone “FANI” in Odisha and apprised him about the progress of relief and restoration works.

Super Storm FANI made landfall on 3 May at Puri, which affected 14 Districts of the State and Puri, Khorda, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur severely.

State Government took up massive evacuation drive of the people and saved millions, which has been lauded by UN Agencies and International Organizations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi rushed to Odisha on 6 May and announced Rs.1000 Crore Grant for the affected areas to take up relief and restoration work.

President expressed his solidarity with the people of Odisha in dealing with the aftermath of Cyclone “FANI” and wished early restoration of normalcy.
