Birla Donates 50 Crore


Kumar Mangalam Birla, when visited the State on 29 May he had promised Chief Minister to contribute handsomely for FANI Aid to Odisha,


And on 1 June, the Indian multinational conglomerate Aditya Birla Group extended its support for relief and restoration work by contributing Rs 50 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
 
Hindalco Industries Limited Managing Director Satish Pai, Essel Mining Industries Limited Managing Director Tuhin Mukherjee, UltraTech Cement Limited COO Ganesh along with other senior officials called on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at State Secretariat here today and handed him over a cheque of Rs 50 crore on behalf of the Aditya Birla Group for restoration work in the State post cyclone.
 
Pledging solidarity with the people impacted by the extremely severe cyclonic storm, the Aditya Birla Group officials said that their local teams in Odisha extended every possible support to the community and the administration during those difficult times, and would continue their support in rebuilding the State post-Fani.
 
Members of the women wing of Biju Janata Dal (BJD), led by its President Minati Behera, called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Secretariat today, and handed over a cheque worth Rs 3 lakh for cyclone Fani victims of the State.
 
Mr.Patnaik thanked the women leaders for their valuable contribution to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

Meanwhile, Rastriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. contributed Rs. 1.40 crore, Delhi Soccer Pvt Ltd Rs 10 lakh, 
Genx Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd. Rs 1 lakh, Koraput Public & staff Rs. 1.21 crore and Rajaswa Bibhaga Sanskrutika Parisad Rs 33,000 to the CMRF.
