NTPC Assigned 4 Blocks


Power Major, NTPC has decided to take up power restoration work in Four Blocks of FANI Devastated Puri District. While Nimapada and Gop blocks for Low Transmission network restoration work, State Government will be informing other areas soon..

 
When Gurdeep Singh, CMD NTPC and A K Bhalla, Secretary, Power made a visit to Bhubaneswar and Puri to assess the impact of cyclone “Fani” on electrical installations in Odisha,State Government made this request and NTPC has agreed to take up the job.
 
Mr.Singh, CMD, NTPC, Sanjeev Kishore, RED ,ERII and other senior officials had a meeting with DDUGJY / Saubhagya officials of NTPC located at Bhubaneswar.
 
During the meeting, CMD appreciated the efforts put in by the team NTPC in restoration of electricity after cyclone “FANI”. He informed that Government of Odisha has reposed confidence in NTPC and has assigned specific locations to NTPC for restoration of electricity.
 
Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary,Energy other senior officials paid a visit to OPTCL Dighalo 132/33 KV substation, 132 KV line (Emergency restore Tower)near Balighai and Baliguali villege, OPTEL Talabania 132/33 kv Substation and Talabania Control Room. The team reviewed the electricity restoration work in Puri District.
 
Meanwhile, NTPC has deployed  till date 950 trained electrical manpower for restoration of electricity works of CESU in cyclone affected areas such as Puri, Khorda,Jagatsignhpur and Kendrapara.
 
So far nearly 5500 persons have been benefitted by NTPC’s Mobile Medical Cyclone Relief Camps organised in the villages and at panchayat level in Puri District. The local residents have benefitted hugely from these camps.
