House Survey From 15 May

The State Government is making all out efforts to bring improvement in the post cyclone situation, said Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary Information & Public Releations.

 
There is remarkable improvement in relief distribution, restoration of energy, communication and drinking water supply, said Mr.singh while briefing Media here on 13 May..
 
With a sincere endeavor, the Government has announced housing package for completely or substantially damaged rural houses. Massive restoration work is being carried out so that normalcy can be achieved soon.
 
Mr.Singh informed that house damage survey will be started from 15 May and targeted to be completed within a week so that work order for construction of the houses can be given from 1 June, 2019.
 
25 teams working in rural housing sector in different districts will be engaged to expedite the survey work. However the actual survey will be done by respective block level officer. The survey of the houses in the severely damaged blocks will be monitored by senior officers. Transparency will be maintain through Geo-tagging and uploading the photos in portal.
 
On drinking water supply front he said on priority basis 1266  PVC Tankers are providing around 12 lakhs of liters of water every day in all the 7 affected districts for providing safe Drinking Water to all the Habitations.
 
Around 3 lakh liters of drinking water is being supplied through tankers only in Puri District.
 
11team from State have been deployed to Puri District to ensure that people are being provided drinking water.
 
The functionality of tube wells has been ensured in all the Districts. Mobile repairer teams with spare parts are available in affected areas.


Due to constant efforts telecommunication and mobile services have been improving substantially day by day.
 
 57% mobile towers in Khurda, 34% in Puri and 70% in Cuttack district have been made functional. Similarly, 56% in Bhubaneswar, 18% in Puri and 73% in Cuttack city have been made operational.
 
All master switching Centres have been operational with electric power supply except Vodafone, Naharkanta which will be powered once Main Grid Feeder is restored. 4 nos. of Airtell Cell on Wheel (CoW) are working at Badadanda, Collectorate and Swargadwar and Gundicha temple, Puri. Similarly, one Jio CoW with 4G service is functioning at Collectorate, Puri. 6 more CoWs of Airtel, Vodafone and Jio are being set up today.
 
So far Banking Operations is concerned as on today, 75.22 % in Puri, 82.95 % in Khordha, 95.93 % in Cuttack, 96.34% in Jagatsinghpur, 96.03% in Ganjam and 97.10 % bank branches in Kendrapara are functioning. Similarly 17.45 % in Puri, 47.80% in Khordha, 54.35% in Cuttack, 61.37% in Jagatsinghpur, 92.91% in Ganjam and 66.08% ATMs in Kendrapara are functioning.
 
As per the recommendation in the Special SLBC meting dated 10 May to discuss the measures to be taken by the banks in the affected districts by cyclone “FANI” a Special Task Force has been constituted comprising of following Senior officials from State Government, RBI, NABARD, SLBC and major member banks to come out with detailed instructions about relief measures and monitoring the situation on a period basis.
 
On the basis of recommendation of Special Task Force, individual bank may take approval from their head offices for extending concessional rate of Interest from fresh / existing norms.
