With the Union Government is raining resources for FANI battered Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, always a grateful personality has not failed in his duty in appreciating the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik lauded efforts of the Union Government in helping out the State with sending resources to the Cyclone hit Odisha also praised Union Minister Mr.Pradhan for doling out Rs.3.2 Crore for purchase of Kerosene for the FANI hit people.

Mr.Modi, who was extremely critical of Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik during the recently held elections, has been raining resources from the Union Government for the Extreme Severe Cyclonic Storm-FANI affected Odisha.

Prime Minister Mr.Modi, who visited Odisha on 6 May, aftermath FANI announced grant of Rs.1000 Crore for immediate relief and rescue operations on the request of the Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik.

Prime Minister Mr.Modi directed Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha to help out the State, which is in dire straits due to Cyclone.

Cabinet Secretary Mr.Sinha is extending all out help by sending NDRF Teams to take up rescue operation, asking Union Secretaries to help the state in distress.

Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik today requested Prime Minister to sanction 5 lakh houses from PMAY (Gramin) Scheme, which will cost Rs.7000 Crore.

While appreciating the efforts of Prime Minister, Mr.Modi, to support odisha, Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik reiterated his request for waiver of the Permanent Wait List (PWL) Criterion for this particular allocation and consider a Centre-State fund sharing pattern of 90:10 as a Special Case.

Similarly, Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik thanked Union Minister Petroleum and Natural Gas for asking Oil India to provide Rs.3.2 Crore to purchase 1000 Kilo Liter Kerosene for the people of cyclone hit zones.

Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik wrote a letter to Union Minister Mr.Pradhan in this regard, while requesting him to make provision of 1000 KL Kerosene for Cyclone hit Odisha.

Union Minister Mr.Pradhan responding to the Chief Minister’s request, immediately asked Oil India to donate Rs.3.2 Crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) from its CSR Funds.

Accordingly OIL India authorities today handed over the cheque of Rs.3.2 Crore to Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi.

After that Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik has also thanked Union Minister Mr.Pradhan taking to his twitter handle.
