Private Hospitals Alerted

With Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm (ESCS) FANI moving towards land and likely to make landfall near Puri on 3 May, State Government alerted the Private Hospitals to be in readiness to extend Health Care facilities to the people.

Secretary Health & Family Welfare, Pramod Kumar Meherda chaired a Meeting held here on 2 May at State Secretariat, where all the Senior Representatives of the Private Hospitals attended the meeting.

Special Secretary Health & family Welfare Shalini Pandit, Odisha State Medical Corporation Managing Director Archana Patnaik, Director Health Services Hara Prasad Patnaik, and several other senior officials were present.

Dr.Meherda asked the Management members of the Private Medical Institutions to extend ungrudging support in this time of crisis.

1317 Pregnant Mothers already have been shifted to several Hospitals as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed to take care of these vulnerable groups amidst Cyclone.
