Spokespersons For FANI

With a view to disseminate more and more authentic information to be delivered to the people the State Government has appointed Three Spokespersons for Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm (ESCS) FANI.


Bishnupada Sethi, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), who is engaged in Relief and Rescue Operations will be assisted by Three Senior Officers for Information Dissemination.

They are Sangram Kesari Mahapatra, Bhabani Sankar Chayani and Krupasindhu Mishra.

All these Senior Officers are suave, highly informative and sociable personalities.

They know their job efficiently and know what to disseminate to Public at this critical juncture.

Accurate Information Dissemination during such a crisis is very important and people in far flung areas are waiting for Real Time Inforamtion.

With appointment of these Spokespersons, Information dissemination will be much easier for SRC Office, said sources.

Secondly State Government has also appointed Senior IAS Officer, Monisha Banerjee attached to SRC Office for coordination and assisting SRC in the crucial period.   

SRC Office is busy in disseminating Information thourgh various means.

About 7,00,000 messages have been delivered to affected populace in the affected districts on impending ESCS Fani.

Preparedness videos, safety tips have been broadcasted in major TV channels Safety & preparedness voice messages were broadcasted in FM radios, community radios.

Aapda Mitra volunteers, MCS/MFS Task Force team members are utilised for public preparedness, warning dissemination and expediting Evacuation, said sources.
