None Can Stop KALIA


Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik categorically said that financial assistance released under KALIA Scheme is not a loan but a grant for the farmers.
Addressing a mammoth meeting in Kandhamal District, Mr.Patnaik said it is out and out grant from the State Government.
Mr.Patnaik said some of the vested interest groups are spreading misinformation about financial assistance from KALIA as loan. But it is not et all a fact.
Chief Minister said that the Beneficiary List of KALIA will be available at Gram Panchayat and it will be displayed at GP Office till 20 March.
Mr.Patnaik said over 35 Lakh beneficiaries have been benefitted from KALIA Scheme.
He informed that on 1 April, Second Installment of financial assistance from KALIA will be sent to the accounts of the beneficiaries.
Mr.Patnaik assured that “Not a single eligible farmer will be debarred from receiving assistance under KALIA as I am monitoring the program”.
He urged farmers to utilize funds for spending in agricultural requirements, so that it will help them to reap dividends from this financial support.
Next year financial assistance will be provided on 1 April and 1 September in two installments.
He assured that nobody will be able to stop this farmers’ welfare program in the State.
