Shah Slams BJD

BJP National President Amit Shah asked Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to step down dubbing his Government as a "fused transformer" which failed to develop the mineral rich state and pull its people out of poverty in last 19 years.

Mr. Shah accused the BJD Government of ignoring the state’s development, neglecting tribals and dalits and refusing to accept Centre’s Ayushamman Bharat medical insurance programme which would have helped thepoor within and outside the state get benefits.
He  was addressing the valedictory session of the two-day national convention of BJP's Tribal Unit in the town.
Mr.Shah said: "The BJD Government is like a fused transformer. It needs to be replaced for the state's progress."
He allegedthat though the BJP-led NDA Government has pumped more than Rs 5 lakh crore for the development of the state, the BJD government failed to utilize it.

The money being sent by Narendra Modi for the development of the state is not reaching the people in the tail end, Shah alleged asking the people to "throw away" the BJD  Government in the coming elections.
Mr.Shah also called the regional party as the "B-Team" of the Congress. Both BJD and Congress have failed the state.
And BJP should be given at least one chance to make Odisha as thenumber one state in the country, BJP President said.
Alleging that Naveen Patnaik was unable to communicate in the state's language, Mr.Shah asked people to elect a chief minister in coming elections who can understand and speak Odia.
He claimed that Patnaik fails to understand the pain of the poorbecause of lack of knowledge over Odia.
