NaMo Needs NaPa

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cleared the doubts in the Odisha Politics.

His speech at the Chhou Padia at Baripada on 5 January has left none to doubt that Mr.Modi means business and he expects a support from BJD President Naveen Patnaik after the general elections in 2019.
Mr.Modi’s speech also revealed that the Prime Minister does not want to keep Naveen unhappy though BJP President Amit Shah had earlier called upon people to throw out the State Government in the sea.
This is not all, Mr.Modi himself had targeted Naveen and his party on his 22 September public meetings at Talcher and Jharsuguda.
However, the equations have completely changed after the results of the five State Assemblies were announced last year and BJP was defeated at the hands of Congress.
Since its defeat in the Hindi heartland, Mr.Modi an intelligent political stalwart has realized that the saffron party was no more a darling of the people across the country, particularly in the Hindi speaking states.
Mr.Modi has got the right indication and therefore keeping an eye on the future he is making moves. Though Mr.Modi knows that the BJP has been growing in Odisha, he could hardly afford to ignore the crucial support of BJD in the post election scenario.
Mr.Modi knows for sure that his party may not win a single Lok Sabha seat this time as Dilip Ray has already deserted the saffron party. Therefore, he sees Odisha and Naveen are the only ray of hope.
The BJP National Leadership also knows that West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo is not a trusted ally. Keeping in view Naveen’s track record, the BJP Central Leadership thinks that only BJD can be trusted.
Naveen has all long in last four and half years stood by the BJP led NDA Government even as the BJD is claiming that it maintained equal distance from both the BJP and the Congress.

Like Khurda rally, Mr.Modi preferred to take on the State Government on some issue or the other just to keep morale of his party men high. But he refrained from taking on the Chief Minister or the Governing Party.

His intentions are now clear and one should not be surprised over the polite words used against the State Government.

Mr.Modi considers that it will be wise to put full efforts to retain his NDA Government at the National Capital.

Mr.Modi other hand came down heavily on the Congress and fired several salvos targeting Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
