Adityanath Visits Statue Of Unity


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded efforts of the Government of Gujarat for setting up the Statue of Unity, a 182-Metre-tall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

 
Mr.Adityanath today visited the site built near the Sardar Sarovar Dam here in Narmada district.
 
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani accompanied his Uttar Pradesh Counterpart during his visit to the statue.
 
He also visited the adjoining attractions, which include a 17-kilometre-long “Valley of Flowers” and Narmada Tent City to accommodate tourists.

Mr.Adityanath praised the efforts of the State Government in building such an imposing statue and other attractions near it.
 
“This, world’s tallest statue, is a befitting tribute to the true ‘Sardar’ of this country,” Mr.Adityanath said.
 
In the run-up to the memorial’s inauguration, Chief Minister Mr.Rupani and several of his Ministers have gone to various states to invite their respective Chief Ministers for the unveiling ceremony.
 
Mr.Rupani had visited Lucknow to invite Mr.Adityanath and for which his Uttar Pradesh counterpart came here along with others.
 
President of India is expected to visit Statue of Unity on 15 December 15, State Government sources said.
 
A senior official said that the dates for the visit of VVIP and Chief Ministers from other states are yet to finalised.
 
The World’s tallest statue, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Mdoi on 31 October, the 143rd Birth Anniversary of Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel is receiving attention all over the country.

Hundreds of enthusiastic visitors are flocking to the Grand Structure, which is a befitting tribute to the Tallest Leader of the Country.
 
Tourists, Media Men, Local People are flocking to the site in large numbers.
 
As the VVIP Visit was there restrictions were imposed on common tourists till 2 PM today, for which tourists faced hardship, said Rajendra Das from Surat.
 
Construction Major, L& T has erected the imposing statue in 33 months, which is a record of sort.
 
With the Statue of Unity, Valley Of Flowers, Sardar Sarovar Dam and Tented City of Narmda are adding attraction, said R C Mishra, Senior Consultant of Hospitality Major, Mayfair Group.
 
In future, this will attract more attention world wide as infrastructure is available with four lane wide road to the site, facilities for recreation in Valley Of Flowers will be an added advantage, said he.
 
Slowly these facilities will be developed as the Government of Gujarat is engaging more attention on this Centre of Tourism, said Mr.Mishra.
