Expressing solidarity with the affected people of Odisha due to severe cyclone ‘Titli’, Union Minister Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan today called on Union Minister Home Affairs, Rajnath Singh.

Mr.Pradhan, while commending the efforts of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) during the rescue operations in Odisha, has thanked Mr.singh for timely help being extended to Odisha.

Both Mr.Singh and Mr.Pradhan held talks regarding operations of NDRF in the cyclone hit zones of the State.

21 NRDF Teams have been drafted to Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal due to severe cyclonic storm Titli, officials say.

Extending all out support for the State, which faced severe cyclonic storm on 11 October, Mr.Pradhan said Union Government will provide all sorts of help for the hapless victims of Titli.

All sorts of Reconstruction works will be aided by the Union Government, said Mr.Pradhan in his twitter handle.

He expressed relief that Titli Cyclone has not made great damage in Odisha, which Mr.Pradhan termed as Maa Durga and Shree Jagannath Blessings before Durga Puja Festival.

However, though there is no serious impact of cyclone, but as heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted by IMD, Mr.Pradhan has cautioned the people to remain in safe places and advised them to be alert.
