Export Award For Vedanta


Prafulla Samal, Minister, MSME gave away state export awards to 24 exporters in terms of certificates and trophies in the State Export Award Ceremony held here today.

The Best Export Award went to the Vedanta Limited, Jharsuguda in the large industry category, it was given to RB Agarwalla & Co in the Micro and Small category.

Trophy and Certificate of Merit was given to the top six exporting companies namely, Jay Bharat Spices, Cuttack for exporting spices, Falcon Marine Exports, Bhubaneswar for exporting frozen shrimps, Indian Rare Earths, Matikhal, Ganjam for exporting limonite, garnet and Thorium Nitrate, Hindalco Industries,  Sambalpur for exporting aluminium ingot/sow, Infosys Ltd., Bhubaneswar and Suyog Computech, Bhubaneswar for exporting IT software.

Similarly, Certificate of Excellence was given to 14 exporters exporting companies namely, Terra Block Machinery, Bhubaneswar for exporting brick making machine, Jindal Stainless, Jajpur for stainless steel steel/coil items.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Paradip for petroleum products, Odisha State Cooperative Handicrafts Corporation, Bhubaneswar for handicrafts, Divya Multigrains, Bhubanewar for spices, Sreeragam Exports, Bhubaneswar for frozen shrimps.

LSM Trading & Exports, Bhubaneswar for chrome concentrate, IMFA , Bhubaneswar, Ferro Alloys Corporation, Bhadrak, Balasore Alloys, Balasore and TATA Steel,  Keonjhar for high carbon ferro chrome.

Mindtree, Bhubaneswar and Learnitude Technologie, Bhubaneswar for IT software exports.

Special Certificates were given to the J.P. Handloom Nuapatna, Cuttack for handloom products and B.L. Goyal, Kantabahanji, Bolangir for exporting herbal gum.

On this occasion, Minister Prafulla Samal called upon the exporters to continue the tempo of growth in exports and thereby creating employment in the state.

L N Gupta, ACS, MSME stated that Odisha is consistently ranked amongst top 03 states in the country in terms of live manufacturing investment and it has been designated as ‘Champion State’ for registering phenomenal growth in exports.

Export value from the state, which was merely Rs.1982 crore in 2015-16, has gone up to Rs.52,500 crore in 2017-18.

On this occasion, the Minister, MSME also distributed letters of appointment to the 16 newly recruited Assistant Managers (Project).

They have been recruited by OPSC and posted to various DICs to expedite the delivery of services relating to project related services to entrepreneurs.

The program was attended by Pranab Jyoti Nath Director of Industries, Odisha, SK Jena Director, EPM among others.
