Naveen Lauds OPTCL


Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik praised the Management of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) for their expeditious recruitment drive.


While the State Government is harping on faster mode of recruitment, OPTCL since 2010 has gone ahead while recruiting 1662 Professionals from various disciplines including the new Batch of 81 Professionals through a transparent and competency based modern talent acquisition process.

Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik today presented their Appointment Letters, while attending the Induction Program for new Recruitees of OPTCL here at Jaydev Bhawan. Minister Energy Susant Singh graced the occasion.

Hemant Sharma, Secretary Energy and CMD OPTCL , while presenting welcome speech reeled out many successful facts on OPTCL.

Giving T3 Mantra to the New Comers, Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik urged them to follow Team work, Transparency and Technology during their work in State Transmission Utility.
 
Minister Energy announced that the Chief Minister has approved the implementation of Seventh Pay Commission Recommendation for employees of OPTCL.

He said promotional avenues in OPTCL is far better as compared to other State PSUs, while adding he said the new comers have better promotional prospects and they should deliver with best professional ability.

Secretary Energy Mr.Sharma said that OPTCL is implementing Rs.3843 Crore Odisha Distribution System Strengthening Project (ODSSP) funded by State.

Progress of the ODSSP is praiseworthy as regular monitoring by OPTCL Management has ensured timely action. The Scheme has resulted “Good Improvement of Voltage Profile” in the State, said CMD OPTCL, Mr.Sharma.

He mentioned that System Availability of OPTCL is 99.99 Percent, which is highest in the country.

Mr.Sharma said that OPTCL has been strengthening the GRID Netwrok in the State reaching 144 Numbers as on date.

OPTCL is the front runner in the country in implementing many high end technologies in Odisha Power Sector like SMART GRID, Gas Insulated Sub Station(GIS), SCADA and Advanced Metering Infrastructure.

Rajendra Senapati, Director Human Resources Development (HRD) OPTCL thanked the guests in general and particularly the Chief Minister for his timely sanctioning of the proposals for filling up posts on the State Transmission Utility.
