BJP On Village March

State Unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on a March to Villages.

This move is taken up by Saffron Brigade to cover village after village across Odisha to tell the people about alleged "failure" of the Biju Janata Dal Government in the state.
BJP Veteran, Pratap Sarangi today said that it has been decided to move to the villages and sensitize people in rural areas about failure of BJD Government on all front.
However BJP will highlight the achievements of the NDA Government during its March to Villages, said Mr.Sarangi.
Recently Mr.Sarangi was invited to BJP National Headquarters for One To One Talk with the National President Amit Shah.
Mr.Shah had direct talks with Mr.Sarangi, who is honest, popular and has the ground touch.

During his visit to Odisha recently, Mr.Shah had assigned different tasks to various party office bearers as part of the party’s mission to win more than 120 seats in the 147-member state assembly in 2019 polls.

Heads of Gram Panchayats and Core Committee Members were asked to form 4,000 to 5,000 Booth Committees.

The progress of organizational works assigned by party President Mr.Shah was reviewed.
Secondly Mr.Sarangi, who unsuccessfully contested Lok Sabha from Balasore was consulted as to whether he would like to contest from the seat once again.

What transpired between both the leaders is now known, however close quarters of Mr.Sarangi feel that their leader is likely to opt for Nilgiri Assembly segment, which is his forte.

However after meeting National President, Mr.Sarangi seems active and he said strategies for the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assembly elections due next year were discussed threadbare at a meeting of top leaders of the state today.

Mr.Sarangi said that BJP workers will tell people about State Government’s "anti-poor" policy.
He accused the BJD Government of hijacking of Central Programs by giving them different names, while citing Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana as an example.
BJP Veteran also hit out at the BJD Government for opposing the Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Mission.
