Aditya Bags AFMC

Aditya Bikram Singh has secured 38th All India Rank in the Screening Test conducted by Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune for admission into MBBS course commencing on 15 JULY.


AFMC has been ranked Second in the Medical Colleges in the country. It has 115 seats for Boys and 30 seats for Girls.
Five candidates are nominated by Government of India from foreign countries.

Aditya was a class X student from Cambridge School Cuttack and XII student of Chandrasekharpur DAV School, Bhubaneswar.

Other Candiates from Odisha are Pavan Reddy( Rank-39, Adesh Raj- Rank- 72), Hirteek Sahu ( Rank-77).

The cutoff mark is 551 in NEET-2018 ( National level Entrance for MBBS Admission).Total 1750 cadidates ( Boys-1170 & Girls – 580) applied for AFMC screening Test-2018.

After completion of MBBS the Cadets are Commissioned in the Army, Navy & Air Force as Medical Officer-CLASS I Gazetted Officers.

Time bound promotions to all officers up to the rank of Colonel (Timescale) and equivalent.
