Shah Avoids Media

BJP President Amit Shah during his one-day visit to the state today avoided Media and preferred to remain close set with the party leaders and workers.

The saffron party which is mostly publicity hungry, this time round did not allow its President to face Media.

What could be the reason behind Mr.Shah avoiding Media?

A lot of questions are making round in the political circle here.

The reporters who had gathered at the BJP State Headquarters and at the ground to cover the event were frustrated as Mr.Shah did not utter a word before camera.

However, the saffron party in the evening released a press release informing Mr.Shah’s visit, but the speech of the BJP President.

Mr.Shah’s visit to the state was not a secret affair for the party.

Ahead of Mr.Shah’s visit, the state unit of BJP had erected life size cut-outs along the road between airport and the Sri Ram Mandir.

Even Mr.Shah’s poster was found in unusual place like the entry and departure points at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.

Even Narendra Modi’s posters were not seen at the airport building when the Prime Minister visited the state earlier.

Mr.Shah’s picture on Government building has raised many eye brows in the Administration and Police.

The people have raised question as to how the Airport Authority of India allowed Odisha BJP to erect the picture of a particular political party in the airport.

Reacting over the issue, Manas Choudhury City Congress President said: “We will also erect the banner of Rahul Gandhi when Congress President come on Odisha visit in July last week or August first week.”

Political analysts here opined that a wrong tradition is set by allowing BJP to erect its President’s banners at the airport.

The authorities of Biju Patnaik International Airport may face the music over this in future.
