Seer On Nepal Tour

 Puri Shankaracharya will visit Nepal for ten days on the invitation of Prime Minister of Nepal, Pashupati Area Development Trust, Kathmandu and other prominent institutes and organisations.

This was informed by  Jhhamman Shastri, Upadhayaksha Peeth Parishad,  Indira Jha, Rashtriya Adhyaksha, Aanandvahini and Siddhartha Sahu, Secretary for VIP and international relations, Adityavahini, in a joint statement. They said  Puri Shankaracharyaji will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu via Air India Flight on  May 13, 2018 at 2 pm, where he will be given a grand welcome and reception. From the airport, he will leave for Agrawal Bhawan, Kamal Pokhari Area in a procession. He will reside at Agrawal Bhawan during the period of stay in Kathmandu.
Puri Shankaracharya will visit Pashupatinath Mandir for Darshan and Puja on  May 14 around 11 am. He will be received by dignitaries at Pashupatinath Mandir. He will give discourse on religion and spiritualism at Hansa Mandap situated at Pashupatinath Mandir premises at 11:30 pm.  A seminar on various religious issues has been organized in the evening at Agrawal Bhawan on May 14 and 15.  
A grand public reception will be given to Puri Shankaracharya on May  15 at Tundi Khel ground around 11:30 am. He will deliver religious discourse at an education institute on May 16. A review meeting has also been organized on this date at evening at Agrawal Bhawan.  He will depart for Bharatpur Chitwan on  May 17 at 1 pm by flight. He will reside at Mankamna Tole, Ward No 7. A seminar on various religious issues has been organized on  May 18 at 11:30 am. He will be given public reception on the same day at 4 pm.
The Shankaracharya will depart for Hetouda at 3 pm on May 19. He will reside at Ward No 10 at Hetouda. A programme of darshan has been organized in the evening.  He will leave for Birganj at 4 pm on May 20. He will reside at Laxminarayan Mandir, Gopal Mandali. A programme of darshan and diksha has been organized at 11:30 am on May 21. Puri Shankaracharyaji will be given public reception at 4 am at stadium at Birganj.  He will leave for Raxaul on May 22 at 8 am. From Raxaul, he will leave for Kolkata by Mithila Express at 10 am on May 22.
Notably, a six-member delegation of Puri Shankaracharya had visited Kathmandu from April 4 to 8, 2018 to finalize the programme of his visit to Nepal. The delegation met officials of Pashupatinath Mandir Trust to discuss about the various issues related to visit of Puri Shankaracharya. The delegation also met with the officials of some prominent institutes/organizations and discussed about the proposed visit. The delegation also met the Minister of Culture of Nepal Government and officials of Indian Embassy at Nepal. The delegation received warm welcome by all. The delegation also met the President of Nepal and apprised her about the proposed visit of Puri Shankaracharya.
