Patnaik Rewards Prasanna

Just after winning Bijepur, while addressing the Party’s Members of Parliament at Naveen Niwas, BJD Supremo and Chief Minister lauded efforts of Prasanna Achrya, Rajya Sabha MP for his positive contributions in Bijepur By-Poll.

While BJD MP from Bargarh, Prabhash Kumar Singh was sitting there, Mr.Patnaik never praised him.

So it was expected that Mr.Achrya will be rewarded soon and today it happened.

In his latest reward for the Bijepur factor, Naveen has named Prasanna Acharya as the party’s Parliamentary Party Leader in Rajya Sabha.
This is because, party Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has not forgotten the hard work of these leaders during the By-Polls at the prestigious Bijepur assembly segment.
Naveen has written a letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu apprising him about the party’s decision.
Mr.Acharya was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha on 3 June, 2016. He got the coverted post after Dilip Tirkey completed his tenure in the Upper House in April this year.
Naveen had earlier recognized the hard work of Niranjan Pujari, Susanta Singh, Prafulla Mallick and Prashant Nanda.
While Mr.Pujari has been given plump Water Resources portfolio, Mr.Mallick got Works Department.
Similarly, Susanta got Energy Portfolio and Mr.Nanda has been sent to Rajya Sabha.
Therefore, the leaders who have been ousted from the Council of Ministers last year are thoroughly disappointed now hope some message from the Third Floor.

So the BJD leaders like Debi Prasad Mishra, Pranab Prakash Das, Sanjay Dasburma, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Arun Kumar Sahoo, Snehangini Chhuria, Debesh Acharya and Raseswari Panigrahi have reasons to pin hope for the development.

Sources said many of the above leaders had lost hope as Naveen decided not to reshuffle the Council of Ministers even after dismissal of Damodar Rout.
Now, the hope is that the party Supremo may reconsider and encourage them ahead of the general elections next year.
