Prez On Odisha Visit

State Administration has been warmed up to welcome President of India Ram Nath Kovind in his two day visit to Odisha on 17-18 March.

 
A high level meeting to this effect was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi in State Secretariat today.
 
Additional Chief Secretary Home Asit Kumar Tripathy along with Director General of Police Rajendra Prasad Sharma outlined the issues for discussion.
 
Various preparatory works relating to the President’s visit were chalked out and Chief Secretary Mr.Padhi directed concerned departments to complete the preparations well before the scheduled time. 
 
Senior officers were given the charges of supervision and completion. Mr.Padhi directed the officers to persuade the works and bring the deficiencies, if any, to immediate notice of the Additional Chief Secretary Home. 
 
Review revealed that so far three programs have been slated for the President of India. He would arrive at Bhubaneswar on 17 March and would dedicate the Anand Bhwan Museum and Learning Center at Tulasipur Cuttack to the people of Odisha on the same day during afternoon hours.
 
Than after President would grace Foundation Day Celebration of National Law University Cuttack.

On the next day his Excellency would inaugurate Centenary Celebration of Rashtriya Sanskirt Sansthan at Puri. Further detail programmes are awaited from Presidents’ Secretariat. 
 
Mr.Padhi directed concerned departments to stay alert and keep strict vigil over the entire process meticulously so as to make the visit free of any hitches and omissions. 
 
The authorities of the concerned institutions were advised to have regular liaison with home and police department regarding dais plan, regulation of crowd and gathering in meeting places.
