Padhi Bats For MSME

In another boost to MSME sector in Odisha, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi discussed with the entrepreneur delegates from four countries such as Iran, Bangladesh, South Korea and Germany in a G2B meeting held in State Secretariat here today.


Mr.Padhi who informed the delegates about India’s special trade relationship with all these four countries, said State has great strength and potential for development of downstream units in aluminum, steel, handloom, apparel, marine and agricultural food processing sectors.

Basic infrastructure for inland trade, import and export has also been put in place, he said while assuring all facilitating support from the State government for setting up manufacturing and processing units in Odisha.    

The main sectors in which the delegates expressed their interest included marine fish , poultry, handloom, food processing, super technology and  software.

It was decided that specific trade relations would be worked out in collaboration with various Industry Associations of Odisha within 3 days.

Mr.Padhi advised the Additional Chief Secretary MSME LN Gupta to carry forward the required B2B meetings in these sectors on one to one basis for definite outcome.
 
According to sources, the delegates univocally applauded the professional and fruitful management of the ongoing Odisha International MSME Fair that which kick started from March 5.
 
The delegates also expressed their interest for enhancing trade relations with Odisha in various sectors. 

Director Industries  Smruti Ranjan Pradhan along with senior representatives from Industry Associations of Odisha participated in the discussions.
