Tripathy New DM Bargarh

With By Poll in Bijepur is over the State Government posted a new District Magistrate in Bargarh District.

Indramani Tripathy , a Senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) Officer has been posted as Collector and District Magistrate of Bargarh.
State Government today notified the transfer and posting of the District Collectors of Bargarh and Jagatsinghpur.
Mr.Tripathy was the Additional Secretary School & Mass Education and he will replace 2008 Batch IAS Yamini Sarangi.
Ms.Sarangi, an efficient officer, ably handled the By Poll and has been sent back to Jagatsinghpur District as Collector and District Magistrate.
Election Commission of India (ECI) preferred Ms.Sarangi in place of Senior OAS Officer Khagendra Nath Padhi, who was Collector of Bargarh.
ECI picked up Ms.Sarangi from the list of three IAS officers- Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Yamini Sarangi and Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, which was presented by the State Government.
According to tradition earlier seen, Mr. Padhi would have been back to Bargarh as District Collector.
However as Mr.Padhi is superannuating from service on 30 April, 2018, so the State Government thought it prudent to post an unassuming and suave Bureaucrat, Mr.Tripathy as District Collector.
Similar action is expected on Superintendent of Police (SP) front as Jagatsinghpur SP Jai Narayan Pankaj was picked up from the list of three IPS Officers.
The List included Jai Narayan Pankaj, K Siva Subramani and Pinak Mishra.
ECI replaced 2011 Batch IPS, Jugal Kishore Kumar Banoth with 2005 Batch IPS Jai Narayan Pankaj.
It looks like that, Mr.Pankaj, who handled By Poll with all fairness, in all likelihood will be returning to Jagatsinghpur as Ms.Sarangi. It will depend on the decision of the State Government.
However the young IPS Officer, who was shifted by ECI from the District, whether he is returning to the Bargarh District as Police Chief or not is being watched closely.
Without providing an opportunity to give the views of his side, the young Top Cop was shifted by ECI, which needs to be addressed by the State Government, feel senior IPS Officers.
