Katha Enchants Devotees

Hundreds of devotees of Lord Jagannath are enjoying Bhagabata Katha in the premises of "Lord Jagannatha Mandir," Nilachala Peetha, Sector-5, Kharghar here.


The event is being organized by "Maharashtra Odia Welfare Association (MOWA) "in association with "Maa Subhadra Mahila Sanstha  (MSMS), Kharghar.
 The chanting of "Bhagabata katha " will continue till 3rd November '17. The scheduled program of the concluding day, " Kartika Purnima"-i.e. Saturday 4 November.
Temple authorities are performing all the rituals of Lord Jagannath and devotees are happy with the celebrations.
While the religious and cultural activities are carried out regularly in the Temple premises, a beautiful temple is coming up in the site.
Bhoomi Pujan was done in May 2010 and after years of efforts, it is expected to be completed by early 2018, said Bhagaban Panda, President of MOWA.
Mr.Panda is the force behind the temple and making all out efforts to make it happen as over three lakh Odias staying in Mumbai are longing for the temple for years.
Architecture of Lord Jagannath Shrine of Puri is being replicated and all rituals will be followed once the temple is erected and open.
Gajapati Maharaj of Puri, Dibyasingh Deb and Sankarachrya of Gobardhan Pith will grace the occasion of opening of the temple, said Mr.Panda.
Among others, K N Biswal, ardent devotee of Lord Jagannath and OSD of the Government of Odisha handling Odisha Bhawan at Navi Mumbai is also extending his helping hand for the temple, said sources.
