Changing his strategy, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik mounted frontal attack on National Political Parties alleging continuous neglect of the State.

He today criticized National Parties for neglecting Odisha and misleading people by presenting a "fake picture ofdevelopment".

"National Political Parties have been repeatedly neglecting and disappointing Odisha. They are misleading people by presenting a fake picture of development," Mr.Patnaik said, without naming any party, during BJD's 'Jan Sampark Pada Jatra' here.

Mr.Patnaik accused them of destroying the federal structure of the country and working for fostering their party interests.

The BJD President said that the people of Odisha have never been influenced by false propaganda spread by the national parties and they would not accept such lies in the future too.

Stating that BJD is sincerely following the ideology of Legendary Leader of Odisha,  Biju Patnaik, the Chief Minister said, the Regional Political Outfit is committed to develop Odisha and protect the interest of its 4.5 crore people.

"As a Regional Political Party, BJD is working with
dedication to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state," Mr.Patnaik said.

Many welfare programs launched by Odisha government have now become a model for other states, he said.

The 'Jan Sampark PadaJatra' program of BJD, aimed at informing people about the welfare programs of the state government, was launched on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October.

While launching the program, Naveen Patnaik had said that the BJD would raise the issue of the Centre's alleged neglect towards Odisha during the Pada Jatra which is scheduled to end on 2 November.

Like Last Year this time it will be a month long Pada Jatra, said BJD Vice President, Debi Prasad Mishra.

Pada Jatra is being organized all over the State and Party leaders and workers are moving in their respective constituencies to make aware about the developmental program under taken by the BJD Government.

Mostly Rs.1 a KG Rice, Biju Pucca Ghar, Madhubabu Pension,  Workers’ Card and several other popular schemes started by the State Government are being publicized through speeches of the leaders.
