Changes In Bureaucracy

 In a major Bureaucratic reshuffle, State Government today transferred few senior mandarins.

 
Director General of The Gopabandhu Academy of Administration Sangram Keshari Mishra, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1985 batch is posted as the  Chairman of Odisha State Warehousing Corporation(OSWC).

1988 batch IAS Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary of School and Mass Education Department.
 
Mr.Mohapatra, known as an efficient and workaholic Bureaucrat will take care of the crucial sector as he has studied in vernacular school and knows ins and outs of the system.
 
1990 batch IAS Gudey Srinivas  is posted as Principal Secretary of Commerce and Transport department.
 
Mr.Srinivas’ batchmate Manoj Ahuja has been appointed Officer on Special Duty at the General Administration department.
 
1991 batch IAS Sanjay Rastogi too has been appointed OSD of the General Administration department.
 
1991 Batch IAS, Saurabh Garg will assume the post of Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment.
 
On the day of his return from Central Deputation, Mr.Garg was given the new assignment.
 
Today he joined the State Government, who has served in the sensitive Ministry of Finance as Joint Secretary and handled Demonetization in the Department of Economic Affairs .
 
Another officer of 1991 batch Anu Garg has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of Labour and ESI department.
 
Ms.Garg has to wait for two month to get this assignment, though earlier she has proved her mettle in the Health and Family Welfare Sector and later in PMO.
 
Nikunja Bihari Dhal, an IAS officer of 1993 batch is the new Secretary Department of Excise.
 
Mr.Dhal, who has served in the Union Government and later served as Special Resident Commissioner has been assigned additional charge of Science and Technology.
 
1994 batch IAS Ranjana Chopra is the new Secretary of Co-operation Department
 
Ms.Chopra will also handle the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration (GAA) as its Director General.
 
Secretary Rural Development Bishnupada Sethi has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).
 
Mr.Sethi, who  is also the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) will be handling Disaster Management Authority with ease and there will be synergy in this sector, while preparing the Administration to face any type of natural eventuality.
 
1996 batch IAS Vir Vikram Yadav has been posted as Secretary of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department.
 
The State Government has entrusted the crucial sector with Mr.Yadav, who was Secretary Science & Technology and additionally handling Department of Excise.
 
Director Industry and MD OSIC Niranjan Sahu is now shifted to Chief Minister’s Office as Additional Secretary.
 
2004 batch IAS Mr.Sahu is known for his trustworthiness and sincerity is brought into CMO, said sources.
