Saffron Slams Naveen

Union Minister Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan lashed out at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik  dubbing him a very ‘arrogant leader’.

A day after Chief Minister  Mr.Patnaik brought allegations against his political adversaries in the State of resorting to false propaganda against his Government, Mr.Pradhan alleged long time in power has made Naveen “arrogant”.
“Long time in power makes a man arrogant and Naveen Patnaik who has been in power in the State for last seventeen years could not have been an exception”, said Dharmendra while addressing media at BJP State headquarters here today.
Citing the instances of collapse of bridges and flyovers at various locations in the State, CAG’s observations against the Government and rampant percentage (PC) taken from projects and implementation of schemes, Mr.Pradhan said that the Chief Minister would agree that these are certainly not false propaganda.
He is saying that Opposition parties are engaged in false propaganda against the BJD Government. I want to ask him if the bridge collapse incidents in Bomikhal (Bhubaneswar), Gurupriya bridge in Malkangiri, Netapur and Bheden are false propaganda?
Is the CAG report on irregularities in Anganwadi services and financial irregularities in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) false propaganda?”, asked Mr.Pradhan.
He said hat death of innocent children in Nagada due to malnourishment and Dana Majhi carrying on shoulder the dead body of his wife for kilometers can also be not brushed aside as false propaganda.
Even as the CM himself underscored on complete abolition of ‘PC’ culture, the ugly system seems to be more prevalent in PWD and Water Resources Departments which are under him, said Mr.Pradhan reiterating that “If opposition rakes up this issue, he calls it false propaganda.”
It may be recalled here that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while addressing a party gathering before starting the 10-day foot march (Jan Sampark Jatra) on Monday had alleged that the opposition parties in the State are on a mission to mislead people.
He exhorted his party (BJD) workers to get connected with the people through the foot march and dispel the confusions created by opposition parties.
Hitting back at Mr.Pradhan, BJD Veteran and Minister Damodar Rout said that the former has succeeded in capturing power by coaxing and cajoling the Prime Minister.
“The power hungry Pradhan puts party (BJP) before the Mati (State) and uses Government money for his own political purpose”, said Dr.Rout.
While reminding him that his party, BJP had won 36 seats when it had coalition with BJD and the strength reduced to a mere 06 when the tie up was shivered.
BJD Spokesperson Prashant Nanda has also slammed Mr.Pradhan for making such irresponsible remarks against Mr.Patnaik who has been liked by the people of Odisha so much that they have preferred him over other choices for over seventeen long years.

Saffron Brigade should not feel rattled by the 10-day long State wide Padajatra  as this people connect program is not new, said Mr.Nanda while accusing Mr.Pradhan of not being on the side of the State on issues of River Mahanadi water vis-à-vis Chhatisgarh and according Special Category Status (SCS) for Odisha.
