West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to undertake a three-day visit to Odisha from 18 April
State Convener of TMC, Arya Kumar Gyanendra, said her tour is "purely personal and has nothing to do with politics".
Official sources said Ms.Banarjee has been declared as State Guest and is scheduled to have Darshan of Lord Shree Jagannath in Puri.
Asked whether Ms.Banerjee would meet Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after her arrival here on 18 April, Mr.Gyanendra said "We have no information in this regard."
Sources said Ms.Banerjee is likely to meet Mr.Patnaik during her visit.
Both the Chief Ministers had met at the Parliament House in New Delhi on 10 April.
The proposed meeting of the two non-BJP and neighboring Chief Ministers assume significance under the backdrop of talks on Mahagathbandhan against BJP is going on.
Secondly in July there will be election of the President of India and both the leaders are likely to talk over the issue.
She will be meeting TMC Veteran Sudip Bandopadhya, who is lodged in Jharpada jails as CBI has arrested him over chit fund scam.
Mr.Gyanendra said TMC has been trying to expand its base in Odisha and has already set up its unit in Bhubaneswar but its presence has not turned out to be impressive so far.
