State Government today finalized the security arrangement for the two-day visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi here beginning from April 15.
Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi reviewed the arrangements. Though this visit is a private one, the State Government is not taking any chances and will be providing all security for the Prime Minister.
Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan, Principal Secretary Home Asit Tripathy along with DGP KB Singh was present at a meeting in State Secretariat.
The Government will ensure foolproof security at the airport, Raj Bhawan where the Prime Minister will stay, and Janata Maidan where the Prime Minister, BJP National President Amit Shah and a host of Union Ministers will attend the party National Executive meet.
Mr.Padhi later told Media that Modi will drive straight to the Raj Bhawan from the Biju Patnaik International Airport after reaching here on April 15 afternoon and later proceeds to Janata Maidan to participate in the meeting.
The Prime Minister will leave for Surat the next day after attending the meeting at Janata Maidan, he added.
Meanwhile, according to police sources a multi layer security arrangement will be put in place to ensure safety to the visiting Prime Minister, Union Ministers and senior BJP leaders who will arrive in the city to attend the meeting.
